Any one of the Job Categories at Santa Fe College provides rewarding work that enables you to make a difference, learn, grow and expand your skill sets. 

12-Month Faculty perform full-time instructional activities, as well as engage in service to the College.  12-Month Faculty work a full academic/contract year, typically from July-June.

9-month Faculty guarantees full-time instructional employment for the Fall and Spring terms, including service to the college, with summer teaching opportunities optional for additional compensation.

Adjunct Faculty perform direct instructional duties on a part-time, term-by-term basis. Adjunct Faculty are limited to teaching no more than 12 credit hours or a total of 300 clock/contact hours per term.

Career Service positions perform essential support functions vital to the effective operations of the College.  Career Service positions include clerical, administrative support, trade, facilities, and other service jobs.

Executive/Managerial positions primarily perform duties involving college-wide decision making, planning, directing, developing, operating and employing College resources.

Information Technology Personnel perform managerial, professional, highly technical work requiring advanced, highly specialized education, knowledge and expertise in the field of Information Technology.

Part-time Technical/Professional positions perform a variety of professional, technical and specialized services on a temporary basis at a specific rate of pay with automatic termination upon the end of each appointment period.  Part-time Technical Professional staff may work no more than 28.5 hours per week.

Part-time Student positions perform a great assortment of duties that vary depending on the needs of the employing department.  Availability of student jobs vary from term to term, are typically paid at minimum wage and able to work no more than 25 hours per week.

Technical/Professional positions provide oversight of specific college operations and may perform a variety of professional, technical, supervisory and specialized services requiring specific education, training, knowledge, and experience of an advanced nature.  This positions provide service under contract to the College which typically runs from July-June.

Assigned Positions are temporary staff employed by an outside staffing agency assigned to perform a variety of duties in support of the effective operations of the College.

Volunteer positions are undertaken freely and by choice without concern for financial gain, as they are unpaid position appointed for a specific purpose and time period.  Volunteer positions benefit the College by rendering support to the department as needed in a temporary capacity.
